I created the four songs that make up this Bathroom Time Bundle as the need arose during my early years as a mother and later, working with children. Now together, these four songs support children through the complete bathroom routine with consistency, reassurance, and joy.
Toilet Time- this song inspires a proud sense of accomplishment in children as they cross the threshold between nappies and toileting.
Washing Hands- I created this song to gently guide children through the simple steps of using soap, rubbing both hands together to wash and then rinsing them clean.
Drying Hands- this short, happy song reminds children to shake the water off before rubbing their hands dry on a towel.
Bath Time- at a time when children are often becoming tired, this song signals the joyful time for fun in the bath as they playfully have a wash.
Marla’s Tip - I use most of these songs everyday with the children in my care whenever we’re in the bathroom. When sung, they naturally create moments of connection, light heartedness and gentle guidance as we move through each of these everyday moments together.
