Drying Hands

I created Drying Hands to guide children towards shaking the water off their hands before moving to their towel, reducing the amount of water dripped onto the floor that makes little socks wet. This happy song is also a wonderful reminder for children to rub their hands dry, helping them complete the hand-washing routine.

Marla’s Tip - I sing this joyful little song whenever the children are drying their hands. It’s become a song some children delight in as they jump with excitement while I sing with them as they rub their hands dry. Singing this song encourages the children to slow down and become more thoughtful about the routine. Some even finish by hanging their towel back on the rail.
